During the day i get great speeds, download things at the highest speeds and im getting my full 8Mb, now pages are taking ages to load, nothing even finishes downloading. 100mb files that were downloading in minutes before now take hours. Surely if im paying for 8Mb, that's what i should get all the time, not when it suits Orange?
haza555, I was having exactly the same problem. Unless you are happy to stay like this, it won't change, and yes, Orange throttle people at peak times.
I switched to Sky 3 months ago, and have not had any problems with them, a constantly high smooth speed and a customer service department who actually sort things out.
Move to a different ISP provider, get a better connection and better service, and with Sky, you can get a free Sky+ box, free fitting, broadband, phone line, free evening and weekend calls and Sky tv, probably for less than you are paying now.
I know just to try to warn all the unlucky people who were in my position a few months ago. Take my advice, get out and move elsewhere, even Tiscali are better than Orange
