In July I decided to take advantage of the free broadband offer as I am an Orange mobile customer. The sign up process seemed
to be going very smoothly. Recevied numerous emails informing my new broadband account had been created, also received a letter stating my livebox was in the post. Today I received my livebox and connected it up but alas I have no broadband signal. Spoken to cust. services "Ohh you are on LLU" and was told that his system was telling him a provisioning date of the 18th but he proceeded to tell me that the dates the system gave are not very accurate. He would need to speak to another department to get a more accurate date. No matter I thought I will try in another week. I would probably be slightly annoyed if I was paying any extra for the service though. Is this the shape of things to come ?
Anyway is anyone out there on the LLU'd Filton exchange in Bristol? Had any problems with the service ?

Hi my exchange in London was changed over to LLU last december and for me its been nothing but trouble i never asked for it i was happy on 2 meg and after all the trouble im supposed to get at least 6 meg im still getting 2, its more trouble than its worth im in the process of migrating away from the farce that is Orange now its taking forever for my new ISP to migrate me because of the LLU MAC code as BT have to do it manually and it takes longer its a total nightmare anyway hope you get sorted soon.

The 18th has arrived and much to my delight (and surprise after reading many of the postings) I have a connection. No problems with the live box either; quite happily using a wireless connection too. Sorry to gloat I hope the rest of you get sorted quite soon. Out of interest I will continue to read the postings on this site.

Well the system is automated. Provissioning normally takes 10 working days and the target date that we give you will be on the system. its a very common mistake to make esp for new agents.
Let me put it this way. Target installation date for normal BT IP stream is up-to 10 working days
Target installation date for LLU is up-to 15 working days
By default the system hasnt been set to defranciate the 2. it automatically asumes everyone is on IP which takes upto 10 days. so if you on LLU we normally give a wrong date short falling by 5 working days due to this error
