Have been trying to set up the liveprint facility without sucess so went onto the configuration pages to check it is enabled but the option simply is not there!
The live box is about 3 years old and the described as Invetel ADSL version 1.2 with the software version V5.10.7. and says this is the latest
Anyone have any bright ideas??
Sorry this is late, but I only just joined! If anyone still needs this information, the following are the steps I used to setup the live printer on Windows XP.
Make sure your printer is connected to the LiveBox, switched on and on-line
Go to "Printers and Faxes", select "Add Printer"
Here's the bit that isn't obvious: select "Local printer attached to this computer", not the network option
Next, "Create a new port", and set "type of port" to "Standard TCP/IP port"
You get a new "add standard tcp/ip port" wizard... the "Printer name or IP address" is 192.168.1.1 and the "Port Name" can be anything (I called it "LivePrinter")
Press next - after a short delay, it should say "Additional Port Information Required"
For "Device Type", select "custom", and press "Settings"
The standard settings should be correct - Protocol: "Raw", Port Number: 9100, SNMP Status Enabled: not ticked
Click OK, then Next; the "Add Port" wizard finishes, click Finish
You then return to the "Add Printer" wizard, which you should be able to complete as normal
I get "printer is not responding" errors when I start to print, but I ignore them and it prints fine.
