Hey, sorry for posting something similar to some other people, but somehow the stuff that is otherwise suggested does not work.
when I type in the 26 digit network key to my laptop (the livebox is connected and working with my flatmates desktop PC), i get the following error message:
"network password needs to be 40 bit or 104 bit depending on network configuration"
(or something like that - I translated it - my laptop speaks German). After speaking to the technical support, she tried quite a few things and then said that this is a problem with my wireless adapter and I hvae to call Microsoft to change it... that sounds strange to me and reading this forum, there might well be a different solution to it.
- there is no 0/O problem as key does not contain any "0"s
- I have tried copy and paste from a notepad document.

Just to translate the translation a bit. 104bit means it's expecting a 26 character key.
Have you tried a wired connection and copied the key directly from the livebox pages themselves? It's rare but possible the sticker is wrong and that would get around it.
Hi,
thanks for the answers - I called the technical support again and now it works - I do not know why, I haven't done anything different than before, I think at least. But now it works and that's good enough for me.
