New mobile... Nokia 5800"Xpressmusic" is wanting a "Pre Shared Key ( PSK) in order to connect itself to my existing network ( 1xlaptop + 1x desktop connected to a Orange livebox....
This shows a WEP code on bottom (26 digits and letters) but no PSK
From whom or where do I get this information ? [i][/i]
It should be the same. Remember to use the pairing button when pairing for the first time.
Thanks Thomas. I've tried the WEP code in to the new mobi.. but it won't accept it... further study elsewhere tells me that the Livebox needs to be 'primed' with a device "MAC" code placed into the security set up on the Live box 's website . I think I'll give this a miss and "get a man in" or wait until thelivebox is replaced by my new ISP next month......
You just have to press button 1, this then gives you 10 minutes(i think) to establish your first connection. Within this time, you attempt to connect to the livebox via wireless and enter the security key when prompted. When it successfully connects it automatically registers the MAC with the livebox and allows future connections without having to use button1 again. It pairs your device with the livebox ready for future connections.
