This isn't really a help topic, more of a rant, but...
We have been loyal customers of Orange since Freeserve dial-up, and we decided to get broadband just before it turned Wanadoo. Just after the Livebox released we took advantage of that straight away. We enjoyed the wireless (actually, I loved it ) until one day it just stopped working.
Everything seemed ok, just no internet. We were told by the helpline to uninstall and reinstall. We did that, and got many different error messages each time we uninstalled and vice versa. Then we got stuck on the error message telling us that our firewall is switch on. So we switched off all firewalls including the windows firewall (even though this never stopped us installing before). Still the same message. We were then told that out firewall doesn't switch off when you switch it off (wtf...I know), so we had to uninstall all anti-virus' and firewalls.
Took a while, restarted and tried again. Nothing. Over the next week we get the excuses that they will phone us back (even though we were told they cannot make outgoing calls) and we uninstalled and installed the piece of crap about 50 times. During this time the 'Customize your Livebox' and all of the configuration stiff wouldn't work. Now trust me, I know my way around computers and installing networks and routers etc.
So we send it back, and get another livebox, same error. I really enjoyed having a router and wireless, so I went out and bought myself a Lynksys wireless router. Did that work? No. So I went and spent more on a normal router. Same problem. I've recently bought a BT Voyager, not working.
Well thanks a lot Wanadont, for not only giving me a massive phonebill, but also for somehow killing my chances of ever getting wireless or playing my PS2 Online again (no network cables work either after this experience).

Well if you can't access anything through multiple routers and network cables, even the router pages then that would indicate 1 of two possibilities. Either the network card is at fault or the networking part of windows has some sort of error or corruption. If thats the case it's hardly something to blame on Orange.
BTW while the comment about anti-virus/firewalls sounds stupid it is actually true. Some even when disabled will still effect the connection, depends on the program and how it works though.
