i've just got a new laptop running windows vista basic
theres nothing wrong with the livebox because my old laptop (running vista) works fine.

i pressed 1 on the livebox, typed in the wep code and it said it had connected to the livebox. however it wont go on the internet

in the netwrok and sharing centre the user pc is connected to unidentified network(on the working laptop it identifies the network as livebox, i dont know if this is significant) but then on the line from the unidentiefied netwrok to the internet theres a big cross.

all the other settings between the working laptop and the new one seem the same

any help appreciated
