I have been on 2 mb wanadoo with no problems for over a year, when it changed to Orange the connection speed dropped to 512k!
NONE of the settings, set up or hardware have changed AT ALL!
Well in excess of 30 calls to tech support now to no avail!
Constantly get through to India who quite simply would be better offering support for ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD apart from Orange broadband support, honestly their an absolute DISGRACE!!
I got the live box and that’s about as good as a snowball in hell, someone finally called me back tonight and their solution was to leave the pc on for 8-9 hours or overnight.
Also the Orange connection tab KEEPS flashing up EVERY time I open ANY webpage?
BT have checked the line, with ZERO problems.
To top it all off, not content with having the audacity to charge me £17.99 for a broadband connection that LIMPS at 512k at best they have just debited £53 from my bank account, and I have NO reason why!!
I am outwith my 12 month contract now, but if I get a MAC address and go elsewhere will the new ISP be able to offer me any better support and will I need to return any hardware to Orange?
I really am at my wits end with this, and having found this site seems I am NOT alone, someone somewhere MUST be held accountable for this MESS and someone surely MUST be going to fix it and sort it out!?
If EVER there was a case that was SCREAMING out to be investigated by BBC’s watchdog programme THIS IS IT!
CAN ANYONE shed any light on these problems, or give any advice what to do next, please I am DESPERATE!
