Sorry if this offence anyone. This is not a question btw, but i wan't to moan and get my stress out. It says i can moan on any issue in this forum so i take the word for it.
Although vista is kind of crap compared to xp in operating system functionality; i got to admit, using livebox on vista has never been easier. No need for complex installations, just connect an ethernet wire to both ends and tadaa, your done!
With XP it was hellish! No mind installing, re-installing was a hellish nightmare, so complicated.
*sigh*
comments on what i've said are more than welcome whether its agreement or critiscisms.
Assuming your XP was configured with default settings, it would connect just the same. As would a MAC, Linux or practically any operating system written in the past few years. The settings are all done via the DHCP system built into the Livebox (most routers of any breed use DHCP), all that's necessary is for the computer to be set to accept DHCP. Most are by default.
