hi all, hoping you can help me (well my 79 year father really but i'm supposed to sort his computer probs out)
Long story but basically is there a Orange install disc specifically for vista 64bit users? as it says somewhere on Orange helppages eg Please note: if you're using a 64 bit version of the operating system, or experience problems with these instructions, contact us and we'll send you a new CD.
i've messaged Orange 3 times now with the usual guff try this go here etc to no avail (sorry i refuse to contact them over the phone and waste my time and money) and so far all i've got is the CD v 1_0709 which does not appear to work on vista64 and obviously already tried.
tearing my hair out here well whats left of it so quick reply would be appreciated
oh forgot to mention he's on 2meg using a thompson speedtouch 330.
Yes thanks but alas to no avail anyway this afternoon in desperation i rang Orange BB technical support (ended up using my wife's mobile but still felt strongly against it but thats by the by now) and was promptly told that my dad's service does not work with Vista 64.
So now he waits wishing he'd never bought the damn notebook and me feeling totally stupid and useless with not being able to help him but then again on Orange help pages it does say,
"Please note: if you're using a 64 bit version of the operating system, or experience problems with these instructions, contact us and we'll send you a new CD."
