My pc's both wired & wireless are showing a download speed of 130kbps. After numerous calls to Orange, BT came out and tested the line. It registered 5.1Mb @ the main box. However, despite changing the Livebox, Filter and cables and resetting to factory setting etc, numerous times, I'm still only getting 130Kbps max. Any ideas?
You asked for ideas but you seem a little negative.
Post the various speedtests that you have run and run and post the www.speedtester.BT.com result, no doubt someone will see data which is causing the problem.
The last router stats you posted seem quite good, in particular the attenuation and the attainable compared to the data rate :
It's now changed to
Connection mode : G.DMT
Type : Interleave
Noise margin (dB) : 15.2
Attenuation (dB) : 37.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 5088
ADSL status : Connected [0]

So there must be something else happening.
Not negative, just tired of trying to sort! Hours on phone to Orange Call Centre, must be in India, hours of re-setting Box etc, result 'bottom line' never changes! The Live Box shows one thing, the actual is so different.
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 3008 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 95 kbps

OK the above is the actual and this is why you have the problem, pity the BT engineer didn't see this. Where did he plug his laptop into ?....did he use the test socket behind the BT linebox faceplate ?
If he did then when it's convenient can you plug your router into the test socket and run www.speedtester.BT.com again and post the results.

He plugged into the test socket, as have I! The results are the same! Trust me, I've tried all the normal tests! It's not an internal wiring issue, tests have been tried at all times of the day, everything that can be changed, filter or hardwire, has been!
Because you're on ADSL Max you need to leave the router connected and switched on. Plug it into the main BT linebox (not an extension) and check that the ring wire (wire on connector 3) is not connected.
Looking at your stats, the SNRM is high at 15.2 so there could be a line problem. Interleave is on so there's obviously been some instability.
But to get your IP profile up you need to leave the router alone and check the progress using www.speedtester.BT.com. After a few days you should see IP profile increasing.

It is plugged into main socket and the Box is permanently on. The speed has not increaded in over 2 weeks! Todays Speedtest results are shown below.

The Livebox config/ system is showing

Mine simply HAS to be capped! Always slow and intermittent speeds. Countless calls to Orange and all the usual "change your filter" yadda yadda yadda. I always thought IPS stood for Internet "Service" Provider... "service" leaves a LOT to be desired from Orange.
