The drop in speed could be due to any of a dozen reasons, many of which aren't due to Orange. The place to start is to post your router stats on here which will give some serious clues as to where the problem is.
If its a livebox you can find the router stats at http://192.168.1.1 logging in using 'admin' and 'admin' assuming they haven't been changed. Unless its later model with multicoloured lights on the front the bits of interest are marked in red :
