I WILL BE PUTTING IN A COMPLAINT ....
To be fairly blunt, apart from providing very basic advice its not Orange's job to provide support for setting up 3rd party devices to work with the livebox.
I set up my PS3 to connect to the internet using the outbound ports found via a quick google search, I would never have dreamed of phoning my ISP to ask for the connection settings, its got nothing to do with them!
Training staff on third party equipment requires time, money and a general customer base that would require such help.
Generally speaking, people who use online gaming consoles know how to set these up themselves and there simply isn't enough people out there calling up about XBox 360's and PS3's to warrant training 4000+ staff on the ins and outs of every single networking problem that can occur with third party equipment.
Orange would have to seek the company’s permission (maybe even pay for rights of technical assistance to be administered), buy the products, hire trainers and then take their agents off the phones for the duration of training them on the product. As a business it simply isn't practical or financially viable for such a low customer base.
You buy a set of alloy wheels for your car that are not from the manufacturer and they fail, break etc. you don't take them to the car manufacturer do you? Same principal applies, it is not the car manufacturer’s problem nor is it within their remits to resolve the problem.
