i may be moving home and to a new phone number.
if i do i will definately leave Orange.
if i cancel my account do i need to get a MAC code as the people i live with will want to get there own internet account on my old phone number or if i just cancel my account will they have no problems
To use a MAC you need to have responsibility for the new phone line, it needs to be live i.e. connected and you the named account holder.
If you can comply with this then the best way is by the MAC system. This almost guarantees the Orange tag being removed at migration which will allow the remaining people to sign up with another ISP without any hassle.
I am in the same scenario as the thread starter.
I am moving out, my broadband is under my ex girlfriends name who kindly left it with me.
I'm going to go with o2 (now Sky)/be at my soon to be new address. (Orange free upto 8mg at my current address).
Do I need a MAC code, or do I just cancel with them and set up o2 (now Sky)'s service at my soon to be new address.
P.S. The place I'm moving to has Orange Broadband there, I hope they don't have any trouble canceling theirs before I move in.
Cool, I can imagine there being a problem getting her to be bothered to cancel the Broadband here. So if she doesn't at least it won't have any impact on me
