I am on the Orange Broadband Unlimited package which used to be very good value for money. But over the last few months, the connection has started to drop more and more frequently and it is now in the region of 7 or more times per evening.
Each time I have to run the Network Diagnostic tool and each time the service is restored, but everything I do on the internet is now taking me twice as long because of this. Also the connection speed is becoming pitifully slow and it seems that every link I click on just results in the Waiting for ... message in the status bar and eventually the requested page appears - if I'm lucky. Otherwise it ends up on the Internet Explorer cannot display this page screen, whether the connection has dropped or not.
My husband had to research some things for his job this evening, and I thought he was going to punch right through the PC screen at one point. And unfortunately I know exactly how he feels. The level of service provided by Orange has had me tearing my hair out on a regular basis for months. I have a feeling that my husband is now going to insist that we switch providers and, although I would be sad to leave Orange (I have been an Orange customer in one form or another since 1997), I am past the point of brand-loyalty - I just want Broadband that works.
I am going to ring Orange tomorrow to give them one chance to solve it. After that I am going to start shopping around. Getting the service you are paying for shouldn't be too much to ask for.
