I have a livebox and successfully connect to it with two laptops and one desktop, running both Linux and XP.
If I try to put a second screen on my laptop, after about 10-20 minutes the Livebox stops working and I have to detach the 2nd screen and power cycle the livebox to get it to recover.
This consistently happens with an Acer laptop, an HP laptop, running XP and even with Linux.
I don't understand how this could happen, but it does.
Sounds like an interference over power issue , have you tried plugging the monitor into a power socket well away from from the livebox ?. I'd try another monitor or a 'power cleaner' (fancy extension lead ) in line if possible.
Are you absolutely sure its the monitor ?, I've been in this game a long time and I've never met 2 items so unrelated causing issues, monitors on the whole are just dumb boxes that do what they are told . Have you tried hooking the laptop up wirelessly ? its one less point of contact.
