I contacted Orange last week to request a MAC code (been without broadband for over a month), which was provided the following day (very quick!). I attempt to use the MAC code with o2 (now Sky) however, the order keeps getting rejected by BT wholesale as "incompatible rental product on the line". So I contact BT who say there are no rental products (redcare, alarms etc) on my line. o2 (now Sky) cancel the order saying they can't provide broadband so I try with BT, again BT wholesale cancel the order with the same reason. They all say the MAC code is valid, what on earth could the problem be!?!?!
Ok I have now been told by BT that the MAC code is valid on one system but invalid on another system...Orange have now told me that it is invalid also. Strange since I was able to use it before...Have requested a new MAC code anyway...
