Im trying to use telent and cant open any sites on port 25 I know my SMPT is using this port if i change the port will I loose any emails or is ther a better way to do this
Orange in common with most large ISPs block outgoing port 25 (It means all smtp email has to go through their server - it helps track and control spammers) . But how many Telnet sites use port 25 ? The default is 23. Unless you're checking out an SMTP server using Telnet. But then its a non issue because you couldn't use it if was working.
