I am trying to get out of my Internet Everywhere contract as my download speeds are unbelievably slow-worse than dial up (currently showing 25.7mb) They seem to be getting more slow by the day!
I called Orange as I have a 18 month contract with them and the service/reception I am getting is horrendous. I have had Orange customer servive and technical support advisors check and re-check my reception and they have all agreed that I only get 2g reception which is obviously very poor. One such advisor informed me that I should be allowed to terminate my contract with no penalties incurred as Orange could not offer me a proper service.
When I purchased the dongle from an Orange mobile phone shop I was advised that reception/service was improving all the time but I really feel that it has gradually gotten worse therefore I feel like I have been mis-sold a product and would like to have my contract with Orange terminated with no penalty charge for leaving.
I am so tired being passed from pillar to post with Orange & wondered if there is anyone out there what my best option is-if I have one!

Get a cheap s/h unlocked mobile from your friendly neighbourhood corner shop, you know the type, he does a sideline in old computers and repairing washing machines..... and get a sim card from all the mobile phone providers and see which gives the best signal where you want to use it. It doesn't say you'll get a good 3G signal, but a good 2G signal is a start.
Mobile Internet doesn't do well on a less than pristine signal.
Your best option would be to return to the Orange mobile store where you purchased the equipment, as the mobile department deal with Internet Everywhere. Take your receipt with you as proof of purchase. They can then check your account. As far as I am aware there is a timescale on returns and cancellations and if you fall outside of that limit you would be unable to cancel without penalty due to coverage restrictions
