Because I found Orange to be so f**** s**t (over two years) in its cutting me off for a week about at least 3 times a year. Once for a month. And the final nail, a greatly reduced speed even though they tell me everything is fine.
You should call the Broadband Customer Support Team, they will then transfer you to the Broadband Care Team, there is no direct number to this department, on 0844 873 8586, (or 0844 871 0079 if you're on a Starter package) and request that they cancel your account.
Orange will then apply a 30 day cancellation notice as per the Orange Terms of Use 11.6 (After the Minimum Period you may terminate the Agreement by giving us at least 1 months notice in accordance with Clause 13.5)
13.5 (Any notice of termination by you must be made by calling Customer Support. You may be required to prove your identity to our reasonable satisfaction before we accept such notice of termination as being valid)
