Having problems over last couple of days with e-mails not getting to their destination (but also as yet have not had any rejection notices saying they were unable to be delivered)
Have sent ourselves some test e-mails to our own address which seem to work fine, & also the activation e-mail from this forum website was received ok, so it appears to be an outgoing problem only although someone the other day said he was having a problem sending me an e-mail.
We have an old freeserve e-mail address & use the POP3 Freeserve server for incoming mail & SMTP for outgoing mail which seems to still be correct as per the Orange "Help" section.
Having read a few of the recent forum posts it appears that Freeserve addresses seem to be a recurring feature so I wonder of anyone could advise if this is still likely to be the problem, or suggest any alternative settings etc. which may help.
Thanks in advance for any info
Over zealous spam filtering at the far end is a common cause of e-mail going missing. They often don't notify as spam usually doesn't have a valid return address(not the spammers anyhow). Been there, done that.
