I have had my Livebox for 10 months without any major problems but have been down now for 1 week. The only light on is the @ light which is solid. When the Livebox is switched on I have no dial tone on my phones , no internet connection and anyone phoning me gets a continual engaged tone. With the Livebox off the phones work perfectly.
I have been on the phone several times to the laughable technical advisers in India. I have tried, at their suggestion, switching round the filters on the two phone sockets, factory reset and all the other basic stuff. I am now waiting for the famous recovery disc which they claim will be very straightforward. If it is not they will send me a new Livebox.
I am not hopeful.
Meanwhile I discover that my £17.99 a month package has been £21.99 for the past 4 months. Now that I have spotted it they say that they will change it back but will not refund and are very vague as to why it was increased. I am stuck with them for another month.. then perhaps I should change?
Let me guess, had some nasty storms there recently? Had lots of liveboxs effected by those. The recovery cd may help if it's just the software that's been messed up, depends on what lights you got when factory resetting the box.

Depends on the combination of lights as there is a common situation where the @ light and telephone light will be on all the time and there's almost always nothing that can be done to fix it.
