Hi Helpdesk,
I have a strange situation which came to light because I can't reach a website hosted by my colleague at 217.154.24.250 - I can't even get a ping response from that IP. I can't complete a tracert - it just stops (output provided below).
I've now noticed I can't ping or visit mistral.net (the service provider at 217.154.24.250) and equally my colleague can't ping or visit any of the main Orange/francetelecom sites. They can visit these if they connect to them from a BT leased line, just not from the mistral/kingston connection.
Equally I can reach the websites at 217.154.24.250 when I take my laptop to another connection (both public wifi and other connections)
I've now confirmed at least one other Mistral adsl user in a different area of the country has the same issue.
is this issue across the whole Orange broadband network or just a part of it?
The tracert disappears somewhere over germany, so I guess it is a large routing problem with France Telecom (orange's owner) - but I wouldn't be sure...
I called technical support on 550, options 2,2,1,5,4,1 and eventually got through to Karl on the "escalation" team... he was a bit bemused by it, but was going to do a line check - I haven't heard back yet...
Regards,
Tom.

Routing is causing some major headaches at the moment - accessing 0range's mail servers via a non-0range connection is particularly annoying at the moment.
Have you tried reaching these sites via a proxy so that you aren't using 0range beyond your proxy server access?
