I've had a freeserve address for years and get hundreds of spam most days, most of which Orange have been picking up and sticking in the junk folder.
However, over the past few days (ironically since April First!!!) a lot of emails are getting through, particularly notifications of "undelivered mail". I'm sure these were previously picked up by the Orange spam filter. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
We rang the Orange "helpline" spoke to a guy in India, who either did not have sufficient English to understand what we were saying, or else just did not understand the problem. The conversation went something like:
"Your span filters settings must be incorrect"
"But I haven't changed the settings since they work OK last week".

"But I haven't changed the settings since they work OK last week".
etc
Most companies dont tend to block spam with subjects such as the one you describe as they are typically genuine email responders from mail domains. If they did start blocking emails with these subjects there would be no real way of you knowing if an email address you contact actually exists or not.
If you personally don't want these emails I suggest you set up a filter to catch them and place them in the junk mail folder.
Also its worth noting that since a spammer friendly datacentre was taken offline late last year, resulting in a 40% drop, spam has made a steady comeback to its previous levels since.
Undelivered mail isn't strictly speaking spam, its the response by badly set up mail systems to the spammer using your email address as the return address on a 'spam run'. If you're unlucky they'll use your address on a huge number of spams and you'll get dozens or hundreds of Undelivered mail in a few minutes. (its happened twice to me) but not on an Orange address. My Orange address gets zero spam, wholly because I don't use it
