Is anyone having problems sending email using SMTP.wanadoo.co.uk via Outlook? I'm getting the following error message:

450 <[email address here]>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found

It was working fine until 22:00 last night.

Does anyone know if Orange have been making changes to the SMTP and have they blocked certain ports?

I've rung the useless Orange support and they blamed it on Microsoft despite specifically asking them about their SMTP server.

I've tried the IP address and other names mentioned in other posts for the SMTP but no joy.

Any ideas?

could be the same issue im having...not being able to send emails to my freeserve account....i wonder if Orange have DNS problems and are not telling anyone....can be!!!!

try running this from a command prompt....tracert smtp.wanadoo.co.uk... you will see that it gets lost at a server in "paris". looks like the smtp server is down.

I receved the following from Mistral.net customer services (they are quick and knowledgable):

"This is a knock on effect from the problems with the Orange/wanadoo issues sweeping the nation."
