My wife and I have separate PC's and I have created separate default identities for our respective email clients (Outlook Express).
Hence she is jan@..freeseerve and I am paul@...freeserve.
This ensures that she can only download her emails to her PC, and likewise I to mine.
We both have Mailwasher installed, to act as a second line filter to the Orange spam filters which can usually identify and divert about 90% of incoming spam.
Problem is those spams that are not identfied as such by Orange, and which are correctly addressed to my wife or I. These reach the Orange inbox but will not download to either PC. So I have to log in daily to Orange webmail to manually identify and flag these for removal.
Do I have any other options to filter and remove these? Any advice welcomed.
You could set up a further account which you run after downloading jan and paul - call it member@accountname.freeserve... or simply accountname.freeserve.... when you access it it will pick up all the mail that hasn't already been downloaded to jan and paul.
If you get mailwasher to scan it while it is still on the server and then have the account on mailwasher's list to only download when you want - not automatically then you should have a fighting chance of only getting stuff you really want!
Don't forget though that once you've asked mailwasher to download an accout it will continue to do that automatically until you shut it.

This can pull of mail which as not yet been downloaded to Jan or Paul, therefore such mail would not reach their inbox's. You need to be careful when you download mail via this method.

Agreed - ideally you need to run the Three downloads in fairly rapid succession which would help avoid this or you could set a mail rule that would forward mail with jan or paul's correct email address found in the "trash" back to the mail server to be redelivered again without looping. It's admittedly clumsy but OE doesn't really allow you easily to download, "everything but ..." by delivery address.
Really depends on how much separation you want between the jan, paul and trash mailboxes.
