Is it something I've changed in settings or are all company names in posts now shown in Orange and hyperlinked ? Confused

Edit : it doesn't show up on the LATEST BROADBAND POSTS list but click on VIEW POST and it does.

I removed the word O R A N G E from my signature it was showing up as a link i replaced it with "unmentioned"
The forum must have been set to link with them when the word is typed.

Ive tried everyway round it and it still links it, the only way to get round it is to double one of the letters

The links...

Well, they are there primarily to help people click through to another site that may just interest them - and of course saves them the time of typing in the domain name in the address bar...

There is of course a side effect to this in that yes, the site does get a small amount of commission in some cases...

However, we have only set up these links in the last couople of days and it is a trial run - to see 1. whether they are annoying or useful (note we do not have a mouse over feature (this we will NOT implement)) and 2. to see if any revenue is returned to help pay for the overheads of the website - we do not have any other means of financially supporting the site, which will allow further development of the site.

If you could bear with us for a month or so and feedback on their use / misuse / annoyance, we will certainly take your comments into consideration (as we always do) when we decide whether to keep or bin this idea.

It's a good idea, it's just that I thought I'd altered a setting accidentally Confused

As it is an earner for the site, I'll stop taking the 91$$ now and I won't be treating it as a game....honest Laughing

I don't see any problem with it either especially if it can help a little with running costs. It's not like a mouse over which can be very irritating indeed.

I have found a minor problem with the automatic linking,

i tried posting a link in a post for another member post is HERE

If an automatic link is within a link address you cannot post it as a link (if you get what i mean) lol

It took me a while to realise why the link wouldn't work but worked it out in the end this is how it kept coming out when posting the usual way.
