I have Orange's Internet Everywhere mobile broadband, and for at least 2 days now I have been unable to send e-mails at all.
I am trying to send them via my existing ISP's e-mail address but using Orange's SMTP server. I can't use my existing ISP's SMTP server because they block indirect access.
I have tried smtp.orange.net and smtp.orangehome.co.uk, but it makes no difference. Either way I get errors messages like:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Next meeting', Account: 'pop3.orange.net', Server: 'smtp.orange.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Next meeting', Account: 'xxx@xxx.co.uk (Send via Orange mobile broadband)', Server: 'smtp.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Is this connected to other ongoing problems or am I doing something glaringly stupid?
