Can anyone tell me where I can recover or change the password to this server?
(pop.freeserve.com)
I am able to access my emails OK on the Orange site using the password I was given way back when I first registered but in Outlook Express this password is rejected and asks me to resubmit another. The same thing happens with Thunderbird. Can anyone help? Sad

Thanks for your interest, Borednow, but I do not know how to follow your advice.
When I attempt to use Outlook Express/Thunderbird a window appears asking for a password for the pop.freeserve.com server. There is no option on the window to address the password to a different server.

I don't use Thunderbird but in Outlook Express :

Tools > Accounts > highlight the account > Properties > Servers > POP3 change to pop.orangehome.co.uk

There have been several reports of the freeserve one not connecting.

Thanks for your help, Borednow. I tried that but it didn't work. However, I now know how to target servers so maybe it is just a matter of persevering. I saw somewhere on the Orange help pages the names of the different servers so I'll work my way through the list. Now, where did I see that list...hmmm Smile

P.S. You would think that computers being so clever that it would come up with the relevant server on the pop-up window instead of some obsolete thing - wouldn't you?

Use the Search link in the left hand menu....it's right at the bottom. Try searching pop servers or email servers
