I have had this problem for months where my internet will randomly disconnect on me and it takes me 20 seconds before i can reconnect
i always get the errror ppp link was terminated or something.

I have contacted Orange technical team but they are useless.

any ideas? could it be my speedtouch modem?
should i just go with another provider?
im on vista.

How often is it happening?

I think everyone's connection drops occasionally. I know it to be the case with mine.

Everyone's connection with Orange will probably drop as they are useless.
I moved to Idnet and now o2 (now Sky) - never once had a disconnection in 3 years with either of them.
