I hope this is in the right forum, wasn't sure into which category it should fit.
Okay, here is my situation. I would very much like to forward several ports on the livebox so I can use it to host games over the internet (in particular Superpower 2).
To do this, ports 5555-5557 need to be opened.
I connect wirelessly to the Livebox, but have got a static IP address.
Basically, I need instructions. And lots of them. How do I open these ports?
My computing competence isn't too bad, but the simpler the better.
Any more information that you need just buzz me, and I will try to provide it.
This will assume you want to forward both UDP & TCP ports to your wireless device.
Type 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser.
Login using admin as the username and admin as the password.
Click Configuration.
Click Advanced.
Click Router.
Under Port Forwarding click Add
Select Manual service and type in a name such as Games_TCP
Select Protocol as TCP.
In External Port type: 5555-5557
In Internal Port type: 5555-5557
In Server IP Address type the static IP of your wireless device.
Click Submit.
Now do the same for UDP:
Under Port Forwarding click Add
Select Manual service and type in a name such as Games_UDP
Select Protocol as UDP.
In External Port type: 5555-5557
In Internal Port type: 5555-5557
In Server IP Address type the static IP of your wireless device.
Click Submit.
