I have a Belkin wireless modem in a desktop machine (Win XP SP3) which regularly fails to connect to my Livebox on start up without using Repair. Having rearranged my room I would like to remove the wireless connection and revert to an Ethernet cable connection which was used to set the system up originally.
Can I simply uninstall the Belkin software and then physically remove the modem?
If so, how do I re-establish to connection with the Ethernet cable (after plugging it in at both ends of course)?
Is there any down side to this other than lack of movement?
Thanks.
