Hi all,

I am on the upto 8mb connection and have been for over 2 years about 1 year ago my account page for Orange showed that I was on 2mb download 2gb usage level. I called them as I was paying 17.99pm for upto 8mb and they said I am on the 8mb just a problem with the website. I never thoguth anything of it until the last few months in that my connection which was testing out at between 6 or 7mb now only shows 2mb. I called again recontracted as they offered a better deal now my account log in shows upto 8mb but I now never get over 2mb. I am less than 100 meters from the exchange and the wire goes from my house to a pole then into the exchange so should not be a distance problem. Also I notice on my livebox deatils this

Is this Orange screwing around with the connection or something I can have fixed.

Yes, this is exactly what happened to me so I dumped Orange and I'm now with o2 (now Sky).

You can tell that your connection speed has been manipulated from your SNRM...it's 30.2dB.

This is what an up to 8meg service should look like >>>>

Thats virtually what they did to me too - actually told me I could only get 2Mb - now getting ~ 7Mb with PlusNet Smile
