Will Orange broadband allow pop3 access to 3rd party emails? I have existing email with Virginmedia which i want to continue to use. However Sky Broadband has stopped pop3 access as it is now using a googlemail system, and i wondered if Orange is the same.

When you cancel with Virgin Media they also close your email account as well so you would be unable to use it with Orange.
If you know somebody else with a current Virgin Media connection you could have a word with them and ask them to set up your Virgin Media email as an alias. If I were you I would read Virgin Media newsgroups for information on how to do this.
