If we just bought a Belkin or other wireless router, would that work? To be honest, the Livebox is pretty poor... And when it breaks, asking Orange to send another means we'll have to wait what can be MONTHS. And we need the Internet.
Was thinking about getting another Livebox from eBay or somewhere... But I'd prefer a Belkin one or something different & better.
Is this possible???
And.. Also, we get 2meg, whereas our business one gets 6meg, and Orange tell us we're not aloud to upgrade, why not? - We've been paying for years now on the Dolphin Package, I think we should be aloud to upgrade to 6meg, everyone else has it!!!
You could log into the Member Centre from the Orange homepage, There should be an option there to regrade your speed if a higher speed is available on your line. However by regrading your speed you will enter into a new 18 month contract. I would have thought that having the livebox you would have been on the maximum available speed.
You can use any router that you wish, however Orange technical support don't give much help with 3rd party hardware. Also a 3rd party modem/router wouldn't allow you to use the second line feature that the Livebox supports.
