I am trying to set up the email fetcher on googlemail for my mum as she is switching over to googlemail from Orange.net. I am trying to add an account but I keep getting this error "Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
Show error details Server returned error: "[AUTH] Invalid login/password pair"
I have re-typed the email address and password over and over again but I still get this error. I am starting to think that Orange.net will not allow me to import emails into googlemail.

Did you enable POP download access in Gmail? through Settings/tab Forwarding and POP/IMAP?
In Outlook Express to access Gmail I have outgoing port 465 with secure connection and incoming port 995 also with secure connection.
Server Orange.net which I also used to use seems to be blacklisted and I can no longer send through it, but Gmail now works a treat by by-passing it.
