Hi guys, i've bought a belkin wireless adaptor for my pc, and am trying to connect it to the livebox. It can see the network, i click the livebox, type in the password, then it just says how it cannot connect to it!!! its so annoying!
I set it up on a wired connection origionally. Then i moved the livebox away so i could have it plugged into the xbox. that is working fine, a bit slow, but fine none the less.
Has anyone got any ideas of how i can fix this please? im just getting really frustrated how it can detect the livebox, but just not connect. As said above, i am running Vista too.

Full set of instructions:
UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH WIRELESS:
Are you sure that you have a wireless adapter installed on your the computer - I know it sounds daft - but there are many computers, especially desktops, that do not.
Are you pressing Button 1 on Livebox to put it into pairing mode?
Press Button 1 on Livebox so the wifi light flashes. This puts livebox into pairing mode and you have 10 minutes to try and connect your wireless device . This only needs to be done once and then you should be able to connect every time .
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
If security is an issue WPA is more secure, try WPA only.
You could also try Changing the channel. One recommended to try is channel 9. Try this first if you can not see the Livebox at all.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn off the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.
