Hi Mike,
If you wish to cancel because i.e. you're moving, call Customer Support and just let them know that you wish to cancel your account with Orange for good.
If you're looking to join another ISP, it's best if you request Orange to issue a MAC code for you. They should post the MAC to your home address and it would make the migration way faster than calcelling your current broadband, then having it re-activated with the new ISP.
My tip is to be ready to get the names of the Orange agents you speak to, times, dates and important details of the conversations held with them. They might prove handy in the event that the cancelling process take a wrong turn. Then again, you might be one of the lucky who gets everything sorted straight away.

I called and spoke to very helpful person who advised i could take a break from Orange for a month or two then carry on my contract when I moved, I advised the person that I didnt want this and also said no to the offer to transfer it to somebody else and just asked for him to close my account which he agreed to, Job done
Or was it recently I have had at least 2 emails asking for me to update my payment details but Im up to date i even agreed to pay another month as it was near payment time,
