I wonder if anyone has got/had the same problem.
When a call comes in on the landline, not only does that ring but the phone attached to the livebox does as well.
Spoken to Orange ... changed filter...tried different phones...etc etc.
They say it cannot be resolved as the fault is on the landline which is currently supplied by tiscali.
You think Orange support is bad...trust me tiscali is even worse!
They told me to wait until they take over my line which will be in "20 working days".
Can anyone suggest a fix?
It would appear that I can answer incoming calls on either phone.
i.e I can answer on the voip phone when my landline rings and talk o.k.
Is this normal?
Orange are now saying there is a software problem with my livebox mini and I have to wait for the new release.
They will not be pressed on how long that is going to take.
It would appear I have been seriously mislead by Orange.
After over 2 hours on the phone to their "tech support" I don't have a problem at all.
The livebox mini is programmed to do exactly this, whereas a full sized livebox does not.
Orange refer to this as "a feature".
Will swop for a full sized box and post back.
I too suffer from the Second Line phone ringing when the BT phone is rung. It rings even when the BT phone is unplugged. I am awaiting a further reply from Orange not having had a satisfactory reply to earlier enquiries.
Today have removed livebox mini and replaced with full sized unit.
Got Orange to re-enable 2nd line, despite being told " it takes 5 working days"
Kept same number for 2nd line (Not 0845)
Both lines work as they should with full caller id on both, proper dial and ringing tones, not the continental ones and the broadband seems faster too.
Am well chuffed and got a month free as well.
TIP. don't use 0844/0870 numbers to contact Orange.
Use mobile (150) option 2 when it says "you will be charged at national rate"
IGNORE IT you will not!
Check you bill online afterwards if you don't believe me!
