Am I the only one whose Wanadoo desktop software keeps freezing, blanking out and causing frequent connection time-outs? It started about 10 days ago, and my broadband service has made the small step from pretty rubbish to completely-inoperable.
It's a problem between the PC and the Livebox (a SAGEM). When I reboot, everything works fine for about 5 mins. But then a progressive decay sets in, and the nasty Wanadoo window that is always floating around on my desktop getting in the way starts to freeze. It then fails to load for minutes at a time and goes black. Meanwhile not only my internet connection, but my whole PC hangs up.
This is very recent, and I have not installed anything that might explain it, but I decided anyway to trash my entire build and reinstall from DOS/XP upwards. Everything went like a dream until I installed Wanadoo from disk, and then it all went pants immediately. I have deep-scanned everything, and there is no apparent virus.
I can only assume that some mis-a-jour update on the Livebox has introduced an incompatibility either with my Windows config, or possibly the steam-powered and under-tested software that Wanadoo shipped on the original disk.
I'd like to solve this, but in an academic sort of way - Wanadoo is a complete lightweight, and it's fired. I'll replace it this weekend after two years of excruciatingly poor service, quality and reliablility.

Thanks. I couldn't actually find any software to download at that IP address, so I tried uninstalling the Wanadoo program that was causing the problem. It's got rid of the program (which I found irritating rather than useful) and the problem with it, and the modem still happily connects me to the internet. Result.
That's your router page, sign on using userid= admin / password = admin then you can access all the relevant config data. There's no software to download.
