I have been with Wanadoo broadband for about a year now. Just over a month ago my line was upgraded from 1 meg to 8 meg for free. E ver since then I have not been able to connect to the internet. I have spoken to about 8 technicians, I have sent emails and sent two letters to their customer service departments in a bid to sort this problem out. This has got me no further to getting my broadband back. Every technician I have spoken to gives me a different explanation. I have been told my modem may not be able to handle anything above 1 meg so I should download the latest drivers from the Speedtouch website because Wanadoo are unable to send out a CD containing the drivers (how am I suppose to do this without being able to connect). I have been told that my modem maybe corrupted, I have been told to change filters, change USB sockets and move my computer. Last week the technician told me there was a fault on my line after arranging a line test with BT and that my broadband would be working by 26 march, this day has now pasted and still no change. After that I was told to ring back a week later but I have run out of patience. I just can’t afford to keep ring their expensive support line. The worst thing about the situation is that I am just fed up and want to change ISP but they are saying I must find another ISP who can handle this new LLU line. I have rung around but can’t find anyone. So it seems I’m stuck at the mercy of Wanadoo. I hope THERS A WAY OUT of this nightmare as it’s giving me a lot of grief. I received a letter from Wanadoo customer services on the 29 of March apologising for the level of service and asking me if I would accept a call-back to sort out the problem. This to me contradicts what the technition said and makes me think that the problem is at my end. Any way they never bothered calling me back
