<Livebox Issues? ~ Livebox works during the day but not at night!!

The saga that is my livebox connection started when i moved from BT to another telephone service provider. I was told i had to move back to BT which i did however i still couldnt get connected. Livebox was showing one static light and one flashing light alternating between slow and fast. Eventually after making millions of calls between BT and Orange i woke up one morning to find that the lights had returned to normal until that night at around 9pm the lights went again and i had no connection. The next morning it was fine again. This has been going on for weeks and it is the same every night - livebox goes on holiday between 9pm ish and 2am ish.
Any help would be appreciated as I am ready to move to Sky broadband.
Prior to 9pm, connect using ethernet cable NOT wireless and plug directly into the main BT linebox with NOTHING ELSE (no phones Sky box etc) plugged in. See if it disconnects

Unfortunately this doesnt work. i have been through the whole process of only connecting the broadband (no Sky etc) and connecting only to the master socket, connecting with the ethernet rather than wireless etc etc. The problem has went on and on with Orange blaming BT and BT blaming Orange. I told Orange I was moving to Sky and only then did they promise to get an engineer out but couldnt tell me how long this would take. Gladly I decided enough was enough and moved to Sky and have had no problems at all since it was activated.
