Been having wireless connection problems with the Livebox ever since I got it. My brother has a wired connection to it and that works perfectly - never drops. However, my wireless connection seems to have about a week of connectivity before dropping off the face of the earth.
Last week I phoned the Orange helpline (which was surprisingly helpful!) and they basically told me to change the channel number to 11 then hey presto, it worked. A week later, and the connection has gone again. I changed the channel number from 11 to 2 (I think), then back to 11. Nothing.
I really can't be going through this whole process every week or so, it's just ridiculous.
Couple of questions then,
1. Does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever that might solve this problem?
2. Would I be able to use a Netgear router instead of the Livebox?

1) Is it always exactly a week?? Are you trying to connect a Laptop or a Dektop with a Wifi card??
2) You can use any router you like. You just can't use the 2nd Line option without it.
