Hello
Weeks ago we asked for a MAC code and we did use it 3 weeks ago and moved on the 28 Jan 2008 far away from you.
The saga continues ...
WILL YOU CLOSE OUR ACCOUNT ?
AS MENTIONED BY ME AND MANY OTHERS, here: Orange has a huge communication problem.
I now received - again the same email I received 2 weeks after I got the MAC code and went away - when I asked why the account was still open.
Apparently you can have a MAC code but still need to call them to close the account! WHICH I DID - I do have the recordings!
Today I received again the same pre-written email - after I explained I already closed the account:
===========================
Thank you for your email.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
As per our records, we see that your account is still active. We did
receive a confirmation from BT that you have migrated to a new
ISP(Internet Service Provider), however the account has not been closed.
To close your Broadband account, please follow the link below for help:
If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in
contact with us again.
============================
They prefer to keep apologizing (since August 2007!), but not resolve it!
Will you let us in peace and get on with our life?
ANYONE HERE ON Orange PROBLEMS that wishes to unite and go legal? PM me!
I am tired now.
This is what they state on their website:
We’ll follow this code of practice to make sure that we:
• act fairly and reasonably when in contact with you;
• help you to understand how our products and services work;
• deal with any complaints quickly and fairly;
• make sure that all our products and services keep to relevant laws and regulations;
• make copies of this code available on our website and in writing (including in large print, on audio tape and in Braille); and
• train all our staff and contact centre agents to follow this code at all times.
1. 30 days cancellation notice are applied when confirmation that the MAC code has been used.
2. If by log in you mean the member centre/email than thats perfectly normal, broadband accounts that close change type so they're still usable as dialup accounts and for email. After around 219 days of no dialup access or the account being reactivated then it closes completely.
