I've had a ongoing problem now for a few months... Now i'm not a computer novice.. But this has confuzzled me....
Basically... Pages take an absolute age to load... Say for example i want to open Firefox or IE. My homepage takes a while to load up... But once it does.. I can navigate the site quite quickly..
If i want to change sites.. I'll type in the URL.. And in the status bar it will say
for about 15-20 seconds.. Then the page will slowly load... As i said.. Once the site is open.. It's a lot quicker...
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 179ms, Maximum = 227ms, Average = 204ms
But Google:
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 49ms, Maximum = 56ms, Average = 52ms
I've just pinged pendulumlive and got 0.563ms to 127.988ms so you seem to have a set up problem.
Even your Google results are high.....I got 0.617ms to 44.212ms
Anything over 150ms usually indicates a problem somewhere.......but it could be outside your control.
No.......that will only test from your local exchange to you.....the problem, if it's not your PC settings, is somewhere else in the process.
Pendulumlive seems to go all around south and west USA before it gets to Arizona...I get 20 hops

Well i was using that as an example as it's my homepage..
But any site can be slow loading... I'll have a look through my settings e.t.c but i don't think i've changed anything that would cause pages to load slowly... When it comes to buffering youtube videos e.t.c it's fine... It's almost like the initial load time takes a while.. But once it's there it's fine..
Bit of an update reeeaally.. Spent the weekend at a friends of mine... Was able to use his wireless as i had some web stuffs to do.. And the internet there was how mine used to be.. Ok.. Not Orange.. But at least i know now it's not my laptop settings.. Anyone got any ideas of what i should do.. Kuz i'm a bit confused by it.. :s
