Wired connection still showing 6.5mb but wireless still at 2.0mb-3.0mb???
Why's that?
I've tried it with the adapter next to the livebox, transfering at 54mbps still no joy.
Oh well will have to stick to the trusty ethernet.
Anyone else had this problem?
You got any wireless equipment.. Liike.. Cordless phones e.t.c
Probably a lost cause.. But try a channel change.. As a neighbour could recently have got a wifi or something.. If the Ethernet gives you good speeds.. The Wireless should too.
I've got a cordless home phone, it's a different freq to the adapter but I spose it could still causes problems. It was next to the livebox but i've moved the livebox next to the pc which is in a different room and the speed is still the same around 2.5mb.
It does pick another wireless signal up, it's very week thought. Is changing the channel easy? Will the adapter connect to any channel on the livebox?

Changing channel numbers is a really simple task.. If you want to find the best channel then i would suggest going from one and working upwards.. But for now we'll change to a channel on the opposite end of the scale.
Open up Mozilla or IE... Go to the Addres Bar and type " configuration.adsl "
Sign in as you normally would Username: Admin, Password: Password (default) or if you've changed.
Go to Security> Then Wireless Connection. And a box will come up that says Channel number.. Then a number between 1 and 13... If it's on 1 atm.. Change it to 6 or 11... If it's on 6 change to either 1 or 11.. If it's on 11 change to 6 or 1 e.t.c
Just find a number tht works.. IF that doesn't work.. Then i can't really see what could be causing it.. Other than the Adapter.. HAve you got a friend who uses an adapter too?? Maybe try your adapter in his computer and his in yours or something along those lines.. Should help find the problem..
Hi again, I tried all the channels on the livebox for the wireless but it's still stuck around the 2.5mb mark, when I put wired back on it goes up to 6.5-7.0mb.
