After upgrading of line speed of 8mgb last November we had no service for around 8 weeks. Found out it was because the line was only capable of supporting 5.5mgb (found this on BT site) Seemed to be cured when speed turned down , but it took Orange weeks, numerous phonecalls and a visit from an engineer (who said that the speed could be turned down easily and instantly). Since March 2008 we have been having similar lack of connectivity but this time intermitantly and are still trying to get Orange to sort this now - they keep saying that they have sorted it but then we lose connection again and sometimes it comes on for 2 minutes then its off again for a few minutes. It has been so frustrating. Tonight we have had connection for 2mins then it drops out for few minutes then its on again and so on. We are pulling our hair out. Orange said they had fixed it before we went on holiday but we came back yesterday and its still the same. They don't seem to have any answers and never tellus what has or is now going on - I don't think they know. They say that they know of no one else who has this same problem!!
