Down stream shows 5687 (was 5120 for like ever)
Upstream shows 538 (was 288 LLU style)
Firmware now v5.10.7-uk
Speed tests confirm up'ed speeds.
Dunno when this happened? But glad of the bump!
Gotta say that after a very shakey start with Orange, the past year has been very very acceptable. Only a few PPP server downs (the Speedtouch trick is great!) and very few outages.

I too have had another performance upgrade whilst I was away last week.
I had been on an Orange LLU service of ~ 6.7Mbps down / 247kbps up,
then I noticed last Sunday on my return from a week's holiday that my service
was now ~ 7.5Mbps down / ~ 400kbps up with a larger ping latency and altered
ADSL line characteristics as reported by my router. Smells like another change
of hardware in my exchange (Leytonstone in London) or maybe a change to
IPStream ADSL Max. I'm not sure which, however. At one point, speedtest.net reported > 8Mbps which I guess was inaccurate, but I do now consistently get
down speeds > 7Mbps and browser performance seems to have improved.

My service also gone to ADSL2+.
I've been getting a very good service for a long time now.
Speeds have now just gone up from 6000/250 to 6570/525.
Extremely good for an up to 8000 service. Now I presume in theory that I could get up to 24000 - from my stats the best would probably be around 12000. So the question is will Orange be offering higher speeds. I know I am one of the lucky ones who get a good service.

Ah Keith, so that's what's happened. If we've now got ADSL2+, then that reminds me of the LLU speed capping, bearing in mind I could see my exchange from my home if houses weren't in the way. Still, I shan't be streaming HD TV or movies, so I'm happy.
I haven't visited OP.co.uk much lately, so I hadn't seen any possible discussion about a rollout of ADSL2+.
I'm still having problems with my connection which is showing 2268/285 with a 31.4/33.6 Noise Margin.
"Dumbed-down Delhi" know absolutely nothing about the ADSL2+ roll-out so I explained that Orange are as adept at keeping their employees/contractors in the dark as they are their customers.
So I have sent Executive Office my DMT and router stats hoping they will instigate something....providing they know that they're rolling out ADSL2+, that is

In the past I have speed problems with Orange Broadband, BT & Orange say I should get at least 5Mb but in the past it has varied between 0.5 and 3 Mb. The usual Excalations etc have had no effect. I once managed 4Mb but kept that a secret. From day to day my speeds have been up and down like the preverbial.
In the last two weeks I have been getting 5Mb on a regular basis also Livebox says ADSL2+ and attainable downlod rate 6936, downstream 6894 upstream 605.
Now if I do a BT speedtest it says number not recognised but speedtest.net shows regular 5+Mb download now this is the interesting part upload starts at 400+ but drops to below 288 which I believe says I am still on LLU.
Is there an answer to this?
I am not complaining about my speed at all.
Orange have phoned a few times offering cheaper rates could it be I am out of contract !!! I did tell one of the operators that as an when I received a decent and consistant speed I MIGHT consider a new contract but at the moment I wanted to keep the option of changing ISP and shortly after my speeds went up.
Any thought would be appreciated or am I just lucky?

It seems that Orange are rolling out ADSL2+ without making any announcement to their customers or their CS/TS.
I've asked Executive Office what is exactly happening because my connection appears to have been "ADSL2+'d" but is now on a fixed 2268/285 and won't budge no matter what I do.

From my experience of ADSL2+, internal wiring is more critical. Try connecting to test socket and see if it makes a difference - it made a huge difference with me
Also it's odd why they are ADSL2+'ing people that were LLU'd esp when they are supposed to be soon charging new customers more for opting out of LLU or whatever it was

Wires 2+5 only connected also I've got the T-shirt saying "Orange users plug into the test socket". In fact I'm "plugging" into it right now >>>>

What I can't understand is the BLANK against TYPE which usually says either FAST or INTERLEAVE. I know interleave is on because DMT shows it set at 32.
Orange have got until tomorrow Noon to sort it otherwise it's MAC code time.
EDIT : and I've just ethernet connected while still in the test socket....no change.

An acknowledgement from Puja that Orange are making changes to their LLU system :-
"Thank you for your email.
We are glad to assist you.
Orange has been upgrading their services in various areas to match the
competition however, we would not like to comment on the possible
completion time or current locations till we complete it entirely.
If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in
contact with us again.
Kind Regards,
