I have got the PPP server down problem again. As we all know the technical support are totally useless.
1st time I reinstalled the old speedtouch and that sorted it out - I have now got a laptop with vista and do not want to try this.
2nd time it just started working after resetting Livebox 20 or more times.
VOIP has not worked since last August - not too bothered as I have it transferred to my Orange mobile.
Do I need to use the Livebox - or is there something by Belkin or Netgear htat I can use in its place?
If there is, wil it sort my PPP server down problems?

You can use any ADSL router that's out on the market no problem..
As your free calls are on your mobile you don't really need to use the Livebox anywho.. In response to your second question.. Reading on other peoples comments about it around the site.. It should fix your PPP down problem.. But i'm not 100% on that..
Using another modem/router may fix PPP server down problems but it's very hit and miss. Best option would be to try and borrow one to try before going out to buy an extra device that may not help at all.
