I've got my Live box connected to 3 PC's. Can i plug an external hardrive into the USB socket on the live box so that files can be shared with other computers, if so how do i set it up, as i have tried and failed.

Think this has been discussed somewhere in a previous post.. But as of yet.. I don't think it's possible.. Mainly because of the power it would require.. Had reports somewhere that someone tried and the lights went a bit.. " crazy "...
When you say Tried & Failed.. What did you do.. As i would like to get an External Hooked up too, but all reports lead to it being impossible.. Mainly just as a back up for my computers..e.t.c
When say tried i mean all i did was to plug the USB lead into the USB socket on the Livebox, just to see what happened!
When i looked in the Livebox configuration it could identify the HD in the USB Host Port (think its called that as i am writing this whilst at work so don't have it in front of me!!) but thats all, i couldn't connect to it.

Ahh.. Not sure if there's a way to set it up as i think the USB is designed for a printer which works in the same way as the router. i.e sends information to 192.168.1.1 If i had an external here i would test it.. But as my shared drive is in fact my Desktop HDD..
I'll try and find you a few posts on here about the topic..
Currently AFAIK nobody has managed to get the livebox to work with USB storage devices. It recognises them as you've found but there's no way to access it.
It has been done through hacking the firmware but it doesn't look easy and really isn't the best idea if you're not very sure with what you're doing.
